Building History

A color image of the International Living and Learning Center.

Opened in September 2011, the International Living-Learning Center (ILLC) houses up to 365 residents, and was the first resident hall designed with the needs of international students in mind. The building features "25 classrooms, 350 bedrooms for international and domestic students, a 100-person auditorium, a Learning Center, multi-faith room, communal kitchens that facilitate the sharing of foods and cultures between students, a coffee shop, food market and office space for INTO OSU programs and other international student services."

The fifth floor houses the Global Village, a community for international and domestic students who are passionate about cultural exchange and global experiences. Through partnership with INTO OSU and the College of Liberal Arts, the Global Village offers international-domestic roommate pairs, globally-themed hall programs, and faculty workshops. In addition to serving as a residence hall, the ILLC is home to offices for INTO-OSU and also contains classrooms, meeting spaces, a grocery store and a coffee shop.
