This building opened in 2015, but the initiative for this center started as early as 1980. The Asian Pacific Cultural Center was officially established during the 1990-91 school year. After having several homes, this final permanent location engages visitors around the Asian and Pacific Islander experience.

SCARC: Oregon State's Special Collections and Archives Research Center contains oral histories as well as personal papers about the Asian Pacific Cultural Center, including manuscripts from the Oregon Multicultural Communities research collection.
