Building History

A color image of the Paul Lorenz Field.

Opened in the fall of 1996 a block southeast of Reser Stadium, Paul Lorenz Field received a makeover during the summer of 2012, as the original sand-based surface was replaced with a new variety of spreading rye grass. Lights were installed prior to the 2006 season, and prior to the 2020 season, Patrick Wayne Valley Stadium was upgraded with a new grandstand and press box. The field is named for Paul Lorenz, who is the former owner of L&H Grading in Salem and provided equipment for the construction of the original surface.
