Building History

A color image of the Dairy Barn Milking Parlor.

Plans for the construction of a more modern milking parlor began as early as 1959; the parlor itself was constructed in 1961. The parlor was spared when fire struck the rest of the dairy complex in 1967, and in 1973 it was remodeled from a "side-opening, single-six milking parlor... into a double herringbone system."
