Callahan Hall was built in 1965 and houses approximately 350 residents on five floors. Just outside is a fully functional organic garden named the Food Forest. This building is named for Ida Burnett Callahan who taught English for 40 years, lived in women’s residence halls, and was one of three women responsible for starting the Corvallis Public Library.
