Building History

A black and white image of Dixon Lodge.

Established in 1966 in one of two newly constructed cooperative buildings on the east edge of campus, Dixon Lodge began as a men's housing cooperative absorbing the residents of the former Cascadia Lodge co-op. In 1985 the residents of Dixon Lodge voted to become co-educational. Dixon, along with neighboring co-ops Azalea, Avery, and Oxford, were closed by University Housing and Dining Services at the end of the 2013-14 school year. However, Dixon Lodge was reopened in 2016 and was is currently home to the Joan and Tom Skoro Recovery Living Community for students living with substance abuse disorders.
