Resources for Visiting High School Classes

What's an ONID?

OSU students, staff and faculty members all have ONID accounts that they use to access services.

There are some library resources that are only available to people with ONID accounts.  These include:

  • Most e-books.
  • Interlibrary loan services.
  • Off-campus access to digital articles.
  • Full access to 1Search features and resources
  • Most Learning Commons computers.

As a community borrower, you can use a lot of our resources, but sometimes you need to take a few extra steps to make sure you get what you need.

Logging into 1Search with a Community Card

If you have an OSU Libraries Community Borrower card, use these steps to log into 1Search:

  1. Enter your username: This is the number on the back of the card.
  2. Enter your password. This is made up of your last name + the last 4 numbers of your library card.

name John MacGruder

library card number 000-111-222

This is for public patrons without ONID accounts only. If you have an ONID, you should use that to log in.  If you have trouble with this login, contact the library Circulation Department at 541 737 2538.
