To search for an ebook, type in the title of the ebook or look for books that say Online access.
Click on the Online Access link to access the content.
If you are in the full record, click on the Full Text Available at link in the View It section. Make sure you are logged in with your ONID. Sometimes there is an option to look at the individual chapters.
For more information about how to find and use ebooks, check out the Finding Ebooks Research Guide.
Choose the At OSU Libraries only scope to search all of the OSU Libraries collections. This includes Valley, Guin and OSU Cascades. This option is available after you enter your initial search terms. Because of COVID, you cannot access many of our print materials by walking into a library. If you need a book from Valley, Guin or OSU Cascades, look at the request options. You can have an item delivered to your home or pick it up at one of the libraries. Items at McDowell Library are for use in the library only. This research guide can help if you still have questions.
You can request a book from another library if the OSU Libraries' copy is checked out or if we don't own a copy.
If the availability of the items says Request this Item, that means we either do not own the item or it is currently checked out.
Click on Request this item
Current OSU students, faculty, and staff must enter their ONID login information and DUO authentication to access OSU Libraries' resources including ebooks. If an online resource is not working properly through the Libraries' proxy connection, OSU's VPN service can be used. Some OSU services require connecting via the VPN. For full VPN installation steps, see the VPN set up guide and select your operating system.
To learn more, read how to set up off-campus access to OSU Libraries' resources.
