Many of the OSU Libraries' ebooks are hosted by EBL, the Electronic Book Library. The following short guides provide more detailed information:

Read an EBL Book online

Once you locate an ebook in 1Search, click on the View Online tab and then the view full text link.You may need to log in with your ONID information to access the ebook.

You can read the book on your computer screen or you can download it and read it offline.

Click on the Read Online button to continue with the book.

Download EBL books

Download an EBL title from the downloads tabTo download a book from EBL, click on the blue Download tab (on the right side of the first column). It will turn green when selected.

1. Choose the loan length. This will vary by title and may only be in day or as long as 28 days.

2. Click Download and open the file in Adobe Digital Editions.


Open the ebook file with Adobe Digital Editions. You can also save the file and then import it into Adobe Digital editions.
