If your journal is configured for submitting DOIs to the Crossref registration service, DOIs can be registered as soon as a new issue is published (or as soon as a new submission is added to a previously published issue). An OJS journal can be set up to automatically deposit DOIs upon publication, or they can be submitted by a Journal Manager in just a few clicks using the CrossRef XML Export Plugin.
To discuss setting up DOI configuration for your journal and/or to enable automatic DOI depositing, contact Contact OSU Libraries' OJS Administrator.
Use the checkboxes along the left to select articles to be deposited. You can use the Search option at the top right to locate articles by issue or by status. With the desired articles checked, scroll to the bottom and click Deposit.
The operation may take a few moments to process. Successfully deposited articles will be indicated by a status of “Active.” Once deposited, a DOI URL should be functional immediately. The metadata for the article(s) will be findable through Crossref’s site following their next index, which is typically within 24-48 hours.
