The OSU Libraries is here to help you with your research. We offer research assistance, access to online journals, document and book delivery services, and much more. This guide was created specifically to help you with your research in ANS 280. Use the tabs on the left side of this starting page to find suggestions of where to look for sources for your assignments, tips for choosing appropriate sources, and an explanation of how to correctly cite your sources.

Having trouble getting to the full-text of an article? Always being asked to pay for articles?

Use the library to search for sources, and you'll have access to millions of resources that your student fees have already helped pay for. Information in the other tabs in this guide will help you learn how to work with the library's tools to get full-text articles for free.

Never purchase articles online!!! As an OSU student, you can get any article from just about anywhere for free.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)/Scan and Deliver is a service provided by the library to get you the journal articles you need for your research.

Here's how it works:

• If there is a journal article you need and it's not available online, we will make an electronic copy and send it to you.
• If we don't have the journal here at OSU, we'll get a copy for you from another library and email it to you.

The turn around time is usually as fast as 1-2 days.

Set up your Interlibrary Loan/Scan and Deliver account at http://osulibrary.oregonstate.edu/ill/.

If you are off-campus, you will need the following information to access the library:

• Your ONID user name and password (same one that you use for Canvas)

If you ever come to campus to borrow resources, please bring your OSU ID and a picture ID with you.
