Guin/HMSC as a catalog location (see image below) means that the item is physically located in the Guin Library at OSU's Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC) campus. The HMSC campus is located in Newport, Oregon.
Material located in the Guin Library can be delivered to Corvallis. Place a delivery request by clicking the Request button (see image below). Enter your last name, OSU ID number and select "Valley/Circ" as the delivery location. You will be notified with an ONID email when the item is available for pick up.
Interlibrary Loan service allows OSU students, faculty and staff to get articles and books that OSU Libraries either does not own or cannot access. The service is free.
You do have to register for an Interlibrary Loan / Scan & Deliver account to use this service, but the registration process is very quick. You need to be 1) a currently registered OSU student or an OSU employee, and 2) have a valid ONID account.
The Valley Library Learning Commons is located on the main of the library. This floor map shows the location of the Learning Commons (look at the bottom left corner); the entrance to the Learning Commons is just past the main foyer. The Learning Commons provides collaborative study spaces and computers to help students achieve their academic goals.
The Mole Hole (chemistry tutoring) is located on the 3rd floor the Valley Library. This floor map shows the location of the Mole Hole, where you can meet with peer tutors and graduate teaching assistants for additional help with some of your chemistry courses.

OSU Cascades Library in Cascades' Tykeson Hall provides study space, study rooms, and desktop computers for student use. OSU Cascades Library as a catalog location (see image below) means that the item is physically located in the Cascades Library at the OSU's Cascades campus in Bend, Oregon.
Material located in the Cascades Library can be delivered to Corvallis. Place a delivery request by first logging in with your ONID info, then clicking the "Request OSU's Copy" option in the Get It section of the record. Enter your last name, OSU ID number and select "Valley/Circ" as the delivery location. You will be notified with an ONID email when the item is available for pick up.
Scan & Deliver service allows OSU students, faculty and staff to access printed articles, book chapters and microfilm/fiche without coming to the library. Library staff will scan the requested items and deliver them to your ONID email account. The service is free.

Summit is the resource sharing service that provides access to the books and other materials of 37 academic libraries in Oregon, Washington and Idaho that make up the Alliance, a regional library consortium.
If the material you want from the 1Search catalog is not available through OSU Libraries, select "Place Summit Request" after you login to 1Search with your ONID username and password. Indicate if a specific volume is needed. To request multiple volumes from a multi-volume set, submit a separate Summit request for each volume. Select your pickup location before submitting your request. You will be notified with an ONID email when the item is available for pickup at the OSU Libraries Circulation Desk.
Most Summit items are loaned for 42 days and are eligible for one renewal. Some special materials are only loaned for 6 days (see Summit Loans on the Patron and Item Loan Periods page).
