Kanopy is a streaming video database that includes material from the Criterion Collection, The Great Courses, New Day Films, HBO California Newsreel, Kino Lorber, PBS, BBC, First Run Features, The Video Project, Media Education Foundation, Documentary Education Resources, and other sources. OSU's subscription provides some titles that are immediately available and some that have mediated access.

Kanopy materials are also available through the Kanopy app and on smart TVs.

The Academic Video Online (AVON) collection from Alexander Street Press contains over 68,000 streaming videos on subjects ranging from arts, education, travel, and STEM topics. The collection contains material from the BBC, A&E, PBS, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and 60 Minutes. All AVON videos are closed captioned and many have transcripts.

AVON also offers a selection of education videos that include teaching techniques.
