Database Citation Tools

Most databases will have some kind of option to create a citation directly from the database.  For example, in a PubMed article record use the "Cite" button under the right-side Actions options (see below). Once you click the "Cite" button, options to select your citation style will be presented.

While database tools can be helpful, it is most worthwhile to learn to use a citation manger software like Zotero, EndNote or Mendeley. The library offers free workshops and/or consultations on Zotero and EndNote.

Zotero is a free tool, available to help you automatically format your bibliographies and organize all those articles, books and websites you find.

The library offers an online guide, a guided tutorial, or online workshops to support a variety of learning styles.
