TurnItIn is a plagiarism prevention tool that is integrated into Canvas. Students submit their papers to TurnItIn in Canvas, and the content is compared to websites, online journals and other student papers in the TurnItIn system. The software generates a report that highlights passages in the paper that match the online sources.  It’s optional for instructors to make TurnItIn reports available to students.
