Events at Valley Library

Data Privacy Week (January 21-27) is an opportunity to deepen your knowledge about data privacy. Valley Library will be hosting the following events:

  • Privacy Roundup, Tuesday 1/23, 2-4PM on the Main Floor -- visit stations with different privacy activities, and privacy-themed door prizes: 5 Yubikeys donated by Yubico, books, and more! Participating organizations include:
    • ASOSU Office of Advocacy, with an activity mapping out your data body
    • Center for Advocacy, Prevention, and Education, sharing advocacy information regarding cyberstalking and digital support for survivors
    • Office of Information Security, with a demo multifactor authentication
    • OSU Security Club,
    • OSU Libraries, helping you make diceware passwords and demonstrating password managers
  • Crafternoon, Thursday 1/25, 4-6PM, Kow Lounge -- get hands on with privacy-focused crafts (paper crafts with spots for hidden messages)
  • AI Coffee Klatch, Friday 1/26, 2:00PM. Discuss a chapter from Joy Buolamwini's book Unmasking AI. Signup here, space is limited.
