Public Access to Federally Funded Research

This guide is for OSU authors who are funded by the US federal government. It provides information about agency requirements for ensuring research publications and datasets are made available to the public.

How OSU Libraries Can Help

Library faculty can help OSU researchers comply with public access policies by:

  1. reviewing data management plans prior to submission,
  2. helping to identify and facilitate deposit into appropriate data repositories, and
  3. fielding any questions you have related to federal public access policies and how to share your work.

If you need assistance with data-related topics, see the resources below about Research Data Services or contact us. If a suitable data repository does not exist to preserve and share your data, you can meet funder and journal requirements for sharing data by using OSU's institutional repository, ScholarsArchive@OSU.
