Getting Materials from OSU Libraries

OSU Libraries is here to help you find the research materials you need to succeed. Even if you don't come to campus, you have access to many resources. One of our most important services to registered Ecampus students is our book and document delivery service. Please note that you need to be currently registered in Ecampus courses to use this service.

1. Send Pay for shippingOSU Library books to your home address (no PO or APO Boxes) via FedEx. If we don't have the book, we'll get it for you from another library and mail it to you. You are responsible for mailing it back to us (use enclosed shipping label).

  • Delivery time: 5-7 days
  • Loan period: Varies according to your status. Books from Summit libraries (Pacific Northwest regional libraries) are 6 weeks, no renewals.

2. Get journal articles for you. OSU has access to many full-text journals online. If we have a journal in print only, we will scan it and send it to you. If we don't have the journal, we'll get the article for you from another library. You'll get an email when the article is ready. All you need to do is download it. Journal articles are yours to keep and do not need to be returned to the library.

  • Delivery time: 1-2 days (for 80% of our requests)
