Finding peer-reviewed articles

Peer-reviewed articles typically share the results of a scientific research study. Finding peer-reviewed articles often requires using specialized search tools. Some of these search tools cover many different kinds of sources, and as a result, have a checkbox option to help you narrow to just peer-reviewed sources. Other search tools focus on providing access just to peer-reviewed literature - so they don't include a separate peer-reviewed checkbox.

If you need more information about what peer-reviewed literature is and how you can identify it, read more on the Identifying Peer-Reviewed Literature tab.

Several search tools are included below to help you find peer-reviewed articles. Start with a broad search tool like 1Search, then consider trying a search tool more tied to your particular topic area.

Find books, online scholarly articles or newspaper articles that OSU subscribes to.  If you need to find specific items, such as books by a particular author, use the advanced search option for more precise searching. Access 1Search from the library's home page.
