Library faculty can help OSU researchers comply with public access policies by:
Datasets
If you need assistance with data-related topics, see the resources below about Research Data Services or contact us. If a suitable data repository does not exist to preserve and share your data, you can meet funder and journal requirements for sharing data by using OSU's institutional repository, ScholarsArchive@OSU.
Contact the OSU Libraries Information Desk
SPARC provides a community resource summarizing current federal agency public access policies for both data and articles. You can select up to three agencies and compare their policies.
The DMPTool gives you step-by-step instructions on how to create a DMP using a web-based generator. Create an account, select "Oregon State University" from the drop-down menu during log-in. You can save your plans, obtain OSU-specific information resources, and request review by one of our data specialists.
See some example plans generated by the tool.
The Research Data Services group is housed within the OSU Library. We provide guidance and support for all aspects of the data lifecycle, from planning your data management strategy during the proposal phase through archiving your data at the conclusion of your project. Our services are free of charge, and we are happy to partner with you on proposals and projects.
The OSU Libraries Research Data Services model.
Our services and support overlap in these four areas, with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated support over the entire data lifecycle.
