Find Newspaper Articles in Academic Search Premier

Use the database Academic Search Premier to find articles from prominent newspapers.

To find Academic Search Premier, go to the OSU Libraries homepage and choose Databases A-Z:

Then choose Academic Search Premier from the Starting Points list. (Note - if you're at home, you'll be asked to login with your ONID.)

Narrow Your Search

First, enter your search topic in Academic Search Premier and click Search. Second, narrow your search results to just Newspapers by selecting Newspapers from the Source Types box on the left-hand side of the search results page.

Look in a Specific Newspaper

To look at a specific newspaper, use the Publication box on the left-hand side of the search results page:

Click "show more" to see more publications (only the top few are shown).

Open an Article

To read the article, first look for a PDF link (the easiest way to get to the article. If there isn't a PDF, click the orange Find it@OSU link to see what your options are for getting the article.

Sometimes the Find it@OSU link will take you to an online copy of the article. However, if we don't have a subscription to the newspaper, you can request that we get the article for you. That usually takes 1-2 days and is free for you.

Another Option - Go Directly to the New York Times Science Section
