OSULP will continue to offer a full suite of digital collections and remote services while we prepare for a phased reopening of library buildings.  Check this space frequently for updates.  Questions?  Ask us!

Phased Reopening of Library Buildings: Summer 2020

The Valley Library building on the Corvallis campus will be closed to the public, faculty, staff and students until the start of Summer Session 4 on July 20. 

  • Summer Sessions 4 & 5: The Java II coffee shop on the first floor will be open as an unstaffed study space. Additional study space will be created outside, on the Valley Library plaza. 
  • Summer Intersession Week 1 (September 8-11): The Main Floor of the Valley Library will be open 11am - 2pm.
  • Summer Intersession Week 2 (September 14-18): The Main Floor of the Valley Library will be open 10am - 5pm.

The Guin Library building at the Hatfield Marine Science Center remains closed to the public, faculty, staff and students until further notice. For more information, contact hmsc.library@oregonstate.edu.

The OSU-Cascades Library space remains closed until further notice. For more information, contact library@osucascades.edu.

Digital Collections and Remote Services

Borrowing/ Returning Items

 

  • Overdue fines were suspended as of March 12, 2020.
  • Renewals are extended to September 30, 2020 and there will be no recall of materials​.
  • Holds: From July 20 to September 7: Holds will be mailed. If you no longer need an item, please cancel the hold or email us. ​
  • After September 8: Holds can be picked up in the Valley Library during open hours. Held items can also be mailed if you request Delivery when you place the hold.
  • Information about borrowing items at Guin and Cascades libraries will be updated when library buildings are reopened on those campuses.
  • Returns. If you can, please hold onto all materials you have checked out until the buildings are open. If you cannot keep your items, you can return them in library book drops or email us to make different arrangements.
