OSU Libraries and Press are happy to partner with #AfroCROWD for our first-ever Wikipedia Editathon.
We're thrilled to announce that our sister library in Abeokuta, Nigeria, will be co-hosting a Wikipedia Editathon on the same day, February 8th, titled, "Writing Nigerian History into Wikipedia". Our sister library, 'Nimbe Adedipe Library, is located on the Federal University of Nigeria, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) campus. Dr. Onifade, University Librarian, visited the Oregon State University Libraries and Press in 2016 and three OSU library staff members will visit FUNAAB in the fall of 2019, thanks to a generous grant from the Engineering Information Foundation. Our sister library partnership began in 2015 and will extend through 2020.
Olaniyan Olushola (President, Wikimedia Nigeria), Fehintola Nike Onifade (University Librarian), Ayokanmi Oyeyemi (Head of Photography, Wikimedia Nigeria) (Left to Right).
Nothing! We are meeting in the Autzen computer classroom and everything will be supplied, including refreshments. However, if you have a laptop, we enourage you to bring it. The Autzen classroom has moveable tables for laptop users.
If you'd like to prepare in advance, please visit this page with detailed information, built for our event by AfroCROWD.
The Autzen Classroom is on the 2nd floor of the Valley Library.
If you are visiting campus for the day, we suggest you purchase a daily parking permit in advance.
