Electronic Thesis & Dissertations Totals

Per a discussion with Sue Kunda and Patti Black regarding ETDs held within ScholarsArchive, this is how ETDs have been calculated.

3196 ETDs were added in 2010/11
3201 ETDs were added in 2011/12
4919 ETDs were added in 2012/13
? ETDs were added in 2013/14?

subtracting the above total from the total of ETDs listed June 30 2014 -- we get the total from FY2009 -- then add the rest to get each year.

Note: ETD that were purchased are treated as ebooks and should have been reflected in the ebooks held total from the Collection Assessment Librarian.

FY 14 – 21,238

FY 13 – 15,531

FY 12 – 10,095

FY 11 – 6,377

FY 10 — 2,926

FY 09  - 2,483  (this number is based off of ETD digitized items only, no born digital as statistic not available)

Per ScholarsArchive on June 30th, 2014 there were 21,238 ETDs (aka the FY14 total)

Per email from Patricia Black for FY14 -  5190 ETDs were retroactively digitized & 517 ETDs were born digital for a total of5707 ETD additions in FY14

Subtracting the FY13 ETD additions (5707) from the FY14 ETD total (21,238) will yield the # of ETD’s held by OSULP in FY13.

21,238 – 5707 = 15,531

Therefore in FY13 the OSULP held 15,531 ETDs

Per above — the OSULP held 15,531 ETDs in FY13

Per email from Patricia Black for FY13 -  4919 ETDs were retroactively digitized & 517 ETDs were born digital for a total of5436 ETD additions in FY13

Subtracting the FY13 ETD additions (5436) from the FY13 ETD total (15,531) will yield the # of ETD’s held by OSULP in FY12

15,531 – 5436 = 10,095

Therefore in FY12 the OSULP held 10,095 ETDs

Per above — the OSULP held 10,095 ETDs in FY12

Per email from Patricia Black for FY12 — 3201 ETDs were retroactively digitized & 517 were born digital for a total of 3718 ETD additions in FY12

Subtracting the FY12 ETD additions (3718) from the FY12 ETD total (10,095) will yield the # of ETD’s held by OSULP in FY11

10,095 – 3718 = 6377

Therefore in FY11 the OSULP held 6,377 ETDs

Per above — the OSULP held 6,377 ETDs in FY11

Per email from Patricia Black for FY11 — 3196 ETDs were retroactively digitized & 255 new ETDs were born digital for a total of 3451 ETD additions in FY11

Subtracting the FY11 ETD additions (3451) from the FY11 ETD total (6377) will yield the # of ETDs held by OSUP in FY 10

6377 – 3451 = 2926

Therefore in FY10 the OSULP held 2,926 ETDs

Per above  —the OSULP held 2,926 ETDs in FY10

Per email from Patricia Black  443 ETDs were digitized in FY10 (and unknown # of ETDs were born digital)

Subtracting the FY10 ETD additions (443) from the FY10 ETD total (2,926) will yield (roughly) the # of ETDs held by OSULP in FY09

2926 – 443 = 2483

Therefore in FY09 the OSULP held 2,483 ETDs
