Find Magazine Articles in Academic Search Premier

Use the database Academic Search Premier to find articles from popular magazines.

To find Academic Search Premier, go to the Find It menu on the libraries homepage and choose Databases:

Then choose Academic Search Premier from the Starting Points list. (Note - if you're at home, you'll be asked to login with your ONID.)

Narrow Your Search Down to Magazines

First, enter your search topic in Academic Search Premier and click Search. Second, narrow your search results to just Magazines by selecting Magazines from the Source Types box on the left-hand side of the search results page.

Look in a Specific Magazine

To look in a specific magazine, use the Publication box on the left-hand side of the search results page:

Click "show more" to see more publications (only the top 6 are shown).

Open an Article

To read the article, first look for a PDF link (the easiest way to get to the article. If there isn't a PDF, click the orange Find it@OSU link to see what your options are for getting the article.

Sometimes the Find it@OSU link will take you to an online copy of the article. However, if we don't have a subscription to the magazine, you can request that we get the article for you. That usually takes 1-2 days and is free for you.

Browse Through a Magazine (Online)

Click on e-Journals A-Z in the upper right-hand corner from within 1Search. Login when you are prompted.

First, enter the title of the magazine you are looking for. Then choose the publisher link that includes the date range you're interested in.

You can then browse through the magazine by issue or enter a keyword search to find articles on a topic.
