Citation Tools

There are a number of tools you can use to format your citations during the writing process.

(all links open in a separate tab or window)

Zotero  Zotero is an open-source citation manager that works as an extension to the Firefox and Chrome web browsers. You can find out more about it in this help guide to Zotero, created by OSU Librarians.

EndNote — EndNote is a desktop citation manager. It is free for students while at OSU (but it is not free for faculty). To find out more about EndNote, check this help guide created by OSU Librarians.

Microsoft Word — Newer versions of Microsoft Word (2007 and beyond) include built-in functions to help you manage your citations. Find out more about these functions with this help sheet, created by Microsoft.
