Collaborations with Ecampus

SCARC is happy to work with instructors to bring our materials to Ecampus and online audiences. Generally, we need at least one quarter's notice to prepare an Ecampus production before filming is scheduled. Get in touch with us at scarc@oregonstate.edu to develop your ideas.

Digitized materials from SCARC can be found in Oregon Digital and OSU's Media Space. We encourage use of these resources in curriculum development.

Past collaborations involving Ecampus include:

ANTH 432
Professor Neal Endacott used SCARC's cuneiform tablets to introduce his Domestication, Urbanization, and the Rise of Civilization course in Fall 2022.

BOT 323
Professors Aaron Liston and Anne Bahde collaborated to adapt an existing class visit plan to a guided show-and-tell format for Ecampus.

ENGR+ Canvas Module: Engineers and Old Stuff
Professors Adam Lindsley and Anne Bahde partnered in Spring/Summer 2025 to produce a six-part Canvas module introducing the uses of original historical sources to freshmen engineering students.

GEO 514
Professors Kelsey Emard and Anne Bahde collaborated to produce this survey of maps in 2022. We explore examples of early influences on geography such as empire and expansion; the development of geography as a discipline; the role of cartography in urban planning; and more.

HST 417
Professor Tiah Edmuson-Morton has provided ongoing embedded support for student research in this Ecampus class on Beer History.

HST 407: The History of Genocide in the 20th Century
Professors Tiah Edmunson-Morton and Zach Welhouse partnered with Professor Katie Hubler in the School of History, Philosophy, and Religion to provide guidance and feedback for student project ideas.

HORT 228
Professors Dan Blanchard and Anne Bahde collaborated to adapt an existing in-person visit for an Ecampus audience. We explore examples of early modern herbals, early American descriptions, Linneaus and the emergence of standard descriptions, as well as botanical illustration and applied research.
