OSU Libraries and Services during COVID-19

Cleaning

Professional custodial staff members clean public areas in all library locations daily. Major touch points will be cleaned by professional custodial staff every two hours. High touch-point areas that will receive enhanced cleaning include (but are not limited to):

  • Entrance door handles
  • Faucet and soap dispenser handles
  • Elevator buttons

Sanitation stations are available at each entrance of the Valley Library and in the elevator lobbies. Cleaning supplies will be provided in public areas at these stations. Supplies will include hand sanitizer, spray cleaner and/or wipes, and will be restocked as needed.

Individual Study Spaces

Individual study spaces are available in the Valley Library by reservation only in fall 2020.
These spaces will be cleaned by library staff after each reservation.  There are tabletop flip charts at each space. When you arrive the chart should indicate that the workspace is ready for use.  When you leave, you can flip the pages to show that the space needs cleaning.  If you leave and return, flip the pages to indicate that you will be back soon.

If you would like to do additional cleaning, there are supplies available for general use at the sanitation stations located near the entrances to the Valley Library and in the elevator lobbies.

Computers

Computer workstations are available in the Valley Library by reservation only in fall 2020.  The desks, keyboard covers, and mice at these workstations are cleaned by library staff after each reservation.

If you would like to do additional cleaning, there are supplies available for general use at the sanitation stations located near the entrances to the Valley Library and in the elevator lobbies.
