Data Sources for International Information

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) maintains a Data Lab containing statistical indicators. In addition, OECD provides access to their "real-time data warehouse" through OECD.StatExtracts


The World Bank provides access to over 8,000 indicators from World Bank data sets. To learn more about the World Bank visit Globalization 101.


The United Nations Statistics Division maintains a site on international and regional data sources.


The World Health Organization maintains a data repository. The repository contains an extensive list of indicators, which can be selected by theme or through a multi-dimension query functionality.


The United States Census Bureau conducts demographic, economic, and geographic studies of other countries. The data collected can be found on their International Programs Data page.


The Institute of International Education maintains a "tool kit" of data about international students and scholars studying or teaching at higher education institutions in the United States, and U.S. students studying abroad for academic credit at their home colleges or universities.
