Did you know that the records of your student organization are part of Oregon State University’s history? The Special Collections & Archives Research Center (fondly referred to as "SCARC" for the rest of this guide) is your partner in saving and archiving your records for the future. Our reason for being here is to collect, preserve, and make accessible the records generated by all segments of the OSU community for both current groups and future generations.

SCARC is interested in working with you to materials related to the work you do everyday as a part of a student organization or group. For example, we look for items that document: 

• The history and development of OSU student organizations
• Group traditions
• The missions and policies of student organizations 
• Significant programs, activities, and events of student organizations 
• Positions and actions of student governments and councils 
• Student activism 
• Student involvement in service activities 
• Greek life 
• Outreach efforts and community involvement
